Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond Ring set in 18ct Yellow Gold – size approx: N(UK) approx 7(US).
A beautiful Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond ring, crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold with a delicate white-metal setting, most likely Platinum.
At the centre is a gorgeous inky blue Sapphire, beautifully framed by a delicate arrangement of rose-cut Diamonds. The Diamonds follow the graceful scrolling design of the Platinum setting, creating a lovely contrast against the rich blue of the Sapphire.
The elegant elongated design, fine scrolling curves and softly sparkling rose-cut Diamonds give this ring a wonderfully feminine and delicate Edwardian character.
The ring is believed to date from circa 1900–1915 and bears a French hallmark to the band of an Eagles head which indicates 18ct Gold, adding an interesting element to this beautiful antique piece.
A particularly pretty and delicate ring, with a wonderful inky blue Sapphire and the subtle sparkle of rose-cut diamonds.

Lovely pre-owned condition, overall quite clean with the setting and stones secure and in good order. Light wear is present, but this is entirely consistent with the age of the ring.
